Even though the waste tank has a level meter as standard it is not very accurate. It has 2 indicators FULL & EMPTY which is not brilliant. We get in the habit of emptying the tank every other day or empty a couple of three bucket fulls a day to makes it last a day or so longer if we are staying on site.
Occasionally we get caught out and the first sign the tank is full is when waste water starts backing up into the shower tray.
The water alarm was bought via ebay (as usual) and has a detachable wired base that is positioned in an area where you want to test for water.
When water is detected then an alarm sounds. It is powered by its own battery. I switch it on when I suspect the tank could be getting full.
