The last time we were away in the van the blind handle slipped out of my fingers, it snapped back and flew into bits! Then when i removed the blind from the frame i snapped the hinge clips!!
As can be seen in the pictures i refixed the blind into it’s handle with guerilla glue using clothes pegs to hold it in place whilst it dried.
I drilled 3mm holes in the frame close to the hinge link then threaded a thin cable tie through the hole and around the hinge pin on the frame.
It all worked and on our current trip the blind slides open and shut ok and the whole frame opens and closes fine.
Think in hindsite i should have waited for a warmer day or used a fan heater to warm the hinges before trying to remove the frame from the roof.
